This year (2016), we had amazing celebrities, such as Richard Epcar, Darrel Guilbeau, and Stephanie Nadolny join us. An array of musical guests and animators, and fashionistas made a beautiful debut, just for the fans we serve. Throughout this journey as a nonprofit, a convention, and as fellow fans ourselves, we can’t help but want to continue giving you – the people who helped us make this happen – a chance to get your seats early for Ninja-Con 2017.

Welcome Our Musical Guests

This year in Ninja-Con, we are honored to present you our Musical Guests!

NAKITORA

6407496_origNAKITORA (lit. “Crying Tiger”) was founded in 2014 by two former members of the band REOG: Matt Pick and Duan Damais. With a high octane J-Rock influenced energy and unapologetic commerciality, Crying Tiger is not quite like anything you have ever seen before: Wild; Sensitive; Bi-lingual; Bi-shounen… that’s Crying Tiger.

MATT PICK is well-known as a foreign correspondant (‘shikyokuin’) on NTV’s long running ‘Waratte Koraete!!’ television program. He comes from a theatrical background, having starred in the Hollywood premiere of Jonathan Larson’s RENT as Roger.

DUAN DAMAIS is the best guitar player on Earth. He is said to be the second coming of Les Paul. No one has ever refuted this. In Indonesia, he is known as “Ghost Lion.”

MIDNIGHT SHINIGAMI

maxresdefaultIn late 2010, six people met and combined their passion for music and anime, giving creative birth to the band called Midnight Shinigami. Hailing from different parts of the world, Midnight Shinigami’s members are just as diverse as their musical influences and playing styles. From soft ballads to hard-driving metal, they’re sure to have something in their repertoire that’ll make anyone drop dead in pure aural bliss.

LIBRARY BARDS

librarybardsposterThe Library Bards:
The Library Bards are a nerd parody band consisting of Bonnie Gordon (ABC’s The Quest) and Xander Jeanneret (TBS’ King of the Nerds). They take Top 40 hits and transform them into the nerdy versions they should have been in the first place! With their catchy tunes and nerdy lyrics, the @LibraryBards will be bringing you into the #BardLife in no time!
xanderposterXander Jeanneret:
Xander Jeanneret is an actor, voiceover artist, and reality personality living in Hollywood, CA. He was a fan-favorite finalist on the hit TBS show, King of the Nerds (Season 2), and returned to host behind the scenes segemnts of Season 3. Xander also provided the voice of the “Announcer” on the hit indie fighting game, Divekick, the English voice for the main character of “Shogo” in the live action Japanese movie “The Final Judgement”, the old man “Delani” in the anime “The Mystic Laws”, and for “Zampa” in the MMORPG “DragonNest.”
You can catch Xander performing at comic and pop culture conventions across the country with his band partner Bonnie Gordon (ABC’s The Quest) as the nerdy parody band The Library Bards! (Follow @LibraryBards on all social media)
bonnieposter2Bonnie Gordon:
Although recently seen on many different screen projects and web series, Bonnie is most recognized for her time on ABC’s inventively fun fantasy/reality show, The Quest (now streaming on Netflix!) If her face doesn’t seem familiar to you, then perhaps her voice will… From video games to anime, some of her voiceover credits include Street Fighter V (Rainbow Mika), Ikki Tousen (Soujin); Akiba’s Trip (PS3); Guided Fate Paradox PS3 (Frunetti/Misery); Demon Gaze for PSVita (Comit, Chronos, and Pluto).
Bonnie’s most recent project includes her best friend, Xander Jeanneret, from TBS’s King of the Nerds! Together they’ve created The Library Bards (@LibraryBards on Social Media)– a nerd parody band that takes top 40 hits and transforms them into nerdy, geektastic tunes.
Her future plans include living off of cheese plates and world domination.
